The Snow Knowledge Collective (or SkNOWLEDGE Collective) is a school-based citizen science initiative (est. 2020) investigating the changing climate in our local communities over the winter months. Students observe and collect meteorological
data (snow depth, extent, cloud cover and air temperature) in their very own school yards (& beyond) using low-cost field-based tools such as rulers and thermometers, along with a desire to take their learning outdoors. Once data is
submitted to the portal, all submissions are publicly available on the interactive map allowing you to explore your data (and others!) alongside other satellite earth observation datasets, and so much more!
Visit their website
for more information including a comprehensive list of all available resources and toolkits to help get started (or continue!) your SkNOWLEDGE journey! We look forward to exchanging SkNOWLEDGE!
